Teaching Staff


Rob Morton (Course Director)

Rob grew up going to church with his parents. He moved to Australia with his wife Adelle and their young family to prepare for ministry at Ridley Melbourne from 2006-2008.

Rob has previously worked in commercial radio and as a full-time pastor, but he currently leads a small church plant in Hastings while working as the Training Enabler for CCCNZ (Christian Community Churches New Zealand). He also works
part-time for NZ Rally writing Bible teaching curriculum for children aged 7-12.

Rob has a passion for Bible ministry in all its forms – preaching, teaching children and young people, Bible studies and 1-2-l’s. He is also committed to training others to teach the Bible. He has led Practical Bible Training courses in Hastings since 2019, and has a qualification in Adult and Tertiary Teaching.


Jay Behan

Jay is married to Jaimee and they have three children, their son Jesse and two daughters Molly and Laura. Jay loves family times, watching rugby league and attempting to get better at golf. He is passionate about talking to people about the good news that Jesus is. Jay serves as first Bishop of the Diocese of the Church of Confessing Anglicans Aotearoa/New Zealand. He also serves as the Minister at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church.

Jay serves on the board of the  Gospel Training Trust and teaches Exodus and Bible Overview for the Tim Training Course.

James de Costabadie

Costa came to know Christ aged 19 when he was prodded to think about Jesus by the only Christian he knew. He and his wife Teresa came to NZ from the UK in 2005 and are grateful to God for their 3 Kiwi children born since. He loves his family and Christ’s family at Latimer Church  in Christchurch, enjoys playing cricket and reading history books, but still gains most delight when people come to know Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Costa serves as chair of the board for the Gospel Training Trust and teaches several New Testament book studies for the Tim Training Course.

Dave Clancey

Dave is married to Amanda and have three sons – Liam, Theo, and Caleb. He has been Vicar of Trinity South in Sydenham, Christchurch since 2012, prior to which he led the Anglican church in Methven for four years. He is a fan of reading, golf, cooking, and both listening to and playing music.

Dave teaches New Testament books studies and doctrine for the Tim Training Course.
